Thank you
for visiting the MS Society Golf Outing website. We started this event in 2012 with the objective of
bringing friends and family together for a great day. We were enjoying
some beverages after a round of golf and decided we wanted to start a
golf event. After joking around about starting an event that Tiger
Woods would play in one day we started to seriously think about creating
a worthwhile event. With that in mind, it only made sense to give this
golf outing a purpose. Immediately we knew that the
MS Society is the charity we wanted to help.
The MS Society was chosen because Raj's mother has Multiple Sclerosis.
He sees the struggles she goes through every day and how it has affected
his family greatly.
She has had to change her lifestyle
drastically; the simple things she used to be able to do are not so
simple anymore. With Bill and Chris being close friends to their family
they are aware of the affects MS has on Raj's mother. We wanted to start
the fundraiser in hope that it will help find a cure for this disease
whether it’s for his mother or for future families.
So the
planning started and we were able to get 40 golfers for the
inaugural event. We did not want to limit the event to golfers only, so we held a reception after for anyone to attend. Not only did people
donate money but they also donated some great prizes, which we were able
to raffle off. It was a wonderful day and opened everyone's eyes to how much people want to help out such a great cause.
We were able to raise $1,715 for the MS Society. With it being the first year we were very pleased with our donation but only plan to get better each year. With that as our goal, we have partnered with Lola Paige Weddings & Celebrations, LLC. Their work thus far has proven this year’s event will not be one to miss!
We hope you will be able to join us at this year event. Whether you want
to golf or just join us at the reception, you will be helping us donate
to the MS Society.
So please come out a support a great cause while spending time with friends and family. Thank you and we hope to see you in September!!!!! To learn more about the MS Society please visit http://www.nationalmssociety.org/index.aspx

Chris O’Connor, Raj Phanda and Bill Keenan
